Doctor's Orders

To the dismay of many employers, vacations, which commonly take place during the summertime due to the long break that children have from school, are actually impeccably healthy for the body. Mainly, they are a portal to rest and relaxation. Less stress means a significantly reduced risk of heart disease and other stress-related health problems. In 1980, people in only ten other countries lived longer than we do. Now, people in more than 40 countries live longer than people in the US. If you lived in Europe, for example, you’d be half as likely than Americans to suffer from such chronic illnesses as heart disease, hypertension and Type 2 diabetes after the age of 50. These health risks deal greatly with the stress and immobility brought on by work. The only solution to this problem is for the modern employee to take as many vacation days as are given. So...does this mean vacations should be covered by health insurance? I think so.
